Zapier, Make and n8n

Webhooks work with any tool that gives you a URL to receive a POST. Create the receiver in your tool, register its URL with POST /v1/webhooks, then call POST /v1/webhooks/{id}/test. The test delivery shows your tool the shape of the data.

  • Zapier: use the Webhooks by Zapier trigger with the Catch Hook event, which needs a paid Zapier plan. Copy its URL.
  • Make: add the Webhooks module with Custom webhook, copy its URL, and send a test so Make learns the structure. Add an Iterator on events.
  • n8n: add a Webhook node with the POST method and use its production URL. Add a Split Out node on body.events.

Check the signature if your flow takes actions on its own, since anyone who learns the URL can post to it. In a tool without a code step, keep the URL private and treat each event as a prompt to look at its source.
