Free keys on one email domain share a ceiling of 300 calls a month. Every response carries X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining. Requests that fail with a 4xx or 5xx do not use quota. A 202 does. At your limit, calls return 429 until next month: there are no overage charges.

| 400 | invalid_domain | That does not look like a domain. |
| 400 | invalid_page | The page is not valid, or is past your plan's limit. |
| 400 | invalid_date | A date is not ISO 8601. |
| 400 | filter_required | This query needs a filter. |
| 400 | invalid_evidence_type | Use declared, mentioned, detected or hiring. |
| 400 | invalid_target | Send a kind and a target we track. |
| 400 | invalid_url | A webhook URL must be https, on a public host and the default port. |
| 400 | invalid_event_types | An event type is not valid. |
| 400 | invalid_scope | Use watchlist or all. |
| 400 | record_not_found | We did not find the DNS record yet. |
| 400 | invalid_kind | Use note, addition or correction_request. |
| 400 | invalid_text | Text must be 1 to 2000 characters. |
| 401 | missing_api_key | No key was sent. |
| 401 | invalid_api_key | The key is not valid. |
| 403 | plan_required | This needs a paid plan, or you reached a plan limit. |
| 403 | claim_required | Verify that you control this domain first. |
| 404 | company_not_tracked | We have not looked at this company. This says nothing about what it uses. |
| 404 | technology_not_found | We have no technology with this slug. |
| 404 | no_claim | Start a claim for this domain first. |
| 404 | not_found | No such endpoint or webhook. |
| 429 | quota_exceeded | Your monthly quota is used up. |
| 429 | collect_limit_reached | You reached today's limit for adding new companies. |
| 500 | internal_error | Something went wrong on our side. |
